KNOWLEDGE FESTIVAL – Concept and artistic direction of the festival

Zeranta signs the artistic direction of the Knowledge Festival, a festival co-designed with the University of Udine in collaboration with the Conference of Rectors of Italian Universities and the Crup Foundation.

In July 2015 and July 2016, the city of Udine experienced an opportunity to reflect on the issue of knowledge transfer: Knowledge in Festival is a candidate to become a privileged observatory on new educational paths, from school to university, till the enterprise.

A regular event, a festive square fair in which to take part in interactive conferences, debates, artistic installations, sensorial experiences and case histories of new methodologies to lose the boundary between those who learn and those who teach. It is a way to ignite the desire to know, rediscover the desire to get back to study or to regenerate the pleasure of teaching in those who lost it. It is a way to reactivate the impulse to become better individuals in a better community.

There are three narrative and exploration themes of the festival. Desire: how to ignite the curiosity of knowledge, how to motivate knowledge; Methods: which is the status of the different possibilities to create, disseminate and transfer knowledge; New knowledge: what are the frontiers of knowledge, what we must learn as individuals, professionals and citizens to face the challenges of our time.
